Addiction Help Available

A 24 hour helpline is now available for West Virginians who are suffering from addiction or mental health issues. First Choice Services operates Help 4 WV with a call and text line at 1-844-Help-4 WV.

Specialists and recovery coaches are standing by to help streamline the process of seeking help for these problems. The initiative is funded by the Department of Health and Human Services. The helpline staff offers confidential support and resource referrals including self-help groups, outpatient counseling, medication assisted treatment, psychiatric care, emergency care and treatment.

The helpline provides assistance for those who need help and guidance for their loved ones. A comprehensive list of state resources is available at their website

Callie Lyons is an investigative journalist and author living in the Mid Ohio Valley.
