New Mat Residents Fall Victim to Fraudulent Charges

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reports that several New Matamoras residents have discovered fraudulent charges on their debit cards. The charges all came from the same gas station in Orlando, Florida and appear as “Race Track” on their card statements.

All of the victims reported using their debit cards at the Par Mar gas station in New Matamoras.

The Sheriff’s Office requests that if anyone believes they are a victim, that they please contact Sgt. Bryan Reeder or Deputy Robert McKee at 740-376-7070 x0. Victims may also contact Sgt. Russ Blamble of the Matamoras PD. Please be prepared to provide copies of your credit card statements.
